Halo QUESTIONS
Because Halo is a fractional laser, delivering both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths, it is like two lasers in one. The ablative wavelength focuses on the skin’s superficial layer, removing skin damage and stimulating skin cells to regenerate healthy new cells. The non-ablative light passes through the top layer of skin into the dermis, gently heating the tissue, targeting issues such as sun damage, discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles. The heat also stimulates the production of collagen, rejuvenating the skin’s structural support. The result is smooth, vibrant and more radiant skin.
After the procedure your face will be red, there may be some pinpoint bleeding. It can feel like a light sunburn. For the next 2 or 3 days your skin will feel rough with a sandpaper like consistency. The following days the sandpaper like texture will peel, revealing new, glowing skin beneath. Maffi Laser Clinic recommends applying SkinCeuticals Epidermal Repair post treatment. Apply a broad spectrum sunscreen daily.
Prior to the treatment, your provider will assess your skin for recent sun exposure. We recommend avoiding sun exposure 7 days prior to a BBL treatment. Protective eye shields will be applied. As the treatment begins you will feel warmth or a “rubber band snap” sensation to the area the BBL is delivering light energy. The treatment will last 20 – 30 minutes, depending on the area.
You will begin seeing initial changes to your skin 3 to 5 days after your treatment. Results continue over time. You will notice improvements in overall tone and texture, removal of skin discoloration, reduced pore size and increased skin reflectivity and glow. Smooth vibrant skin will be visible in the first 2 to 3 weeks. Halo’s deep dermal regeneration along with collagen and elastin production will continue over the coming months, releasing your skin’s inner glow.
