Dr. Friedland has been a frequent contributor, lecturer and participant in national and international Plastic Surgery symposia and conferences, and has visited several universities as a Traveling Professor, sponsored by national plastic surgery organizations.
Dr. Friedland has written many articles which have been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has contributed to several textbooks. He is on the Editorial Board of several journals and he was the Review Editor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, which is one of the most prestigious journals of plastic surgery. At present, he is an Associate Editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
Dr. Friedland has a special love for children and an interest in correcting congenital deformities. As a result, he has traveled to third world countries performing correction of congenital cleft lip and palate deformities. He is presently Chief of Plastic Surgery in the Children’s Rehabilitative Services of Arizona. Through his clinics, the children from families who are financially less fortunate are able to receive the same quality care as those who seek his services on a private basis.
