The HALO Treatment
Your HALO treatment at Maffi Plastic Surgery will be customized to your skin’s condition and your aesthetic goals. The procedure involves applying a topical numbing cream for comfort and to reduce sensation. The area will be measured with a motion tracking technology to ensure the area is treated evently. Your certified laser specialist will then begin uniformly rolling the HALO handpiece over the skin until the system recognizes that the treatment is complete. Patients often describe a warm, prickling sensation during treatment but are generally comfortable. Most sessions take about 30 to 45 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the area being treated.
Recovery & Results for HALO
Recovery
Recovery after HALO is typically minimal. It is important to keep your skin protected for the first 24 hours. You may experience redness, warmth, and swelling for the first day. After the first 24 hours,your skin will begin flaking or peeling over the next few days, but you will be able to apply makeup. After 2 to 3 days, you may develop a light bronze appearance. Around day 4 your skin will peel, and your new skin beneath will be revealed. Most patients resume normal activities within three to five days. It is important to follow post-care instructions and use sun protection to maintain your results.
Results
HALO offers both immediate and progressive improvements. Patients often notice an improvement in their skin’s appearance and a smoother texture within the first week, with continued enhancements in tone, clarity, and firmness over the following months as their collagen production increases. Just one to two treatments can offer long-lasting results and each additional treatment will only continue to improve your results.
